He Whose Ox is Gored — psychedelic doomsters from Seattle, whom we discussed at length here, and whose current tour with Samothrace was buried in the comment section of that same article — have announced that they’ll be releasing a 7″ record entitled Paralyzer through Chain Letter Collective and Void Assault Records, right after this tour ends (16 June).

However, the record — which features the brand-new title track, as well as remixed versions of two songs from 2014’s Rumors EP — is available RIGHT NOW if you happen to catch the band on the road. Once again, the full list of dates is available here (and don’t miss them at The Rock Room in Pittsburgh TONIGHT!!)

To promote this 7″, He Whose Ox is Gored have made the first video of their career thus far, for the song “Paralyzer”:

Venezuela’s Cultura Tres are a band we’ve written about quite a few times, most recently in a review of their 2013 album Rezando al Miedo.

It’s very exciting to learn that the band are currently at work on a new album with a release planned for later in 2017! But in the meantime, to tide us over, they’ve recently unveiled a new video — for the song “Hole in the Head” from that 2013 album. The video has been described as “inspired by the fear, the fear of religion. This fear has many faces and its devastating divisive hatred had infected our world in the past; now it seems to be lurking just around every corner again.”

For those who live near London, you can catch Cultura Tres at The Underworld Camden on 14 June appearing with fellow sudamericanos De La Tierra.

And finally — we had to get you the news about Eyehategod‘s first tour with frontman Mike Williams since his series of health issues led to a liver transplant surgery last year. You can check out an interview Cvlt Nation did with the legendary vocalist here, and you can also watch this recording of the band’s full performance in Brooklyn last month (16 April):
